1. Gabby B – Bundinha

Brazilian singer-songwriter Gabby B celebrates the release of her latest single, “Bundinha,” or “booty” in english, is a track that blends Brazilian funk and pop influences with lyrics in Portuguese and English.

Produced by Joseph Lopez, known as Mr. Hit Record, an Emmy Award-winning producer and engineer, the song is a high-energy sound of Baile Funk featuring a strong vocal hook with a theme centered on body diversity and empowerment. The track includes a recurring message: all booties matter. 

With its danceable beat and catchy hook, the song is built for dance floors, TikTok and party playlists. “Bundinha” is accompanied by the release of its official music video, now available on all streaming platforms. The video features choreography that mirrors the rhythm and message of the track, focusing on body movement with Gabby B and a group of dancers twerking, highlighting the song’s central theme of self-expression through dance.

“Bundinha” is the first single from Gabby B’s upcoming EP, Funklândia, which will feature songs in four languages: Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. Each track reflects a different musical region or mood, encouraging listeners to explore the EP and identify with the area of “Funklândia” that resonates most with them.

Gabby B said, “With ‘Bundinha,’ I wanted to start Funklândia with a message that’s fun but also real. 2. Isa Marina – Pa' Mi

 Isa Marina returns this summer with “Pa’ Mi”, an empowered Latin R&B track that explores the tension between mutual desire and forbidden chemistry. “Pa’ Mi” is the second release from Isa’s forthcoming EP Eros, due in October, and explores the emotional and physical pull between two people who can’t seem to stay away from each other without labels, no rules, just undeniable connection.

Inspired by Isa’s own real-life experiences, “Pa’ Mi” takes a flirtatious look at feminine desire, challenging expectations and embracing sensuality with confidence and no apologies.

“This song is about owning how you feel—physically and emotionally—without shame,” says Isa. “It’s for anyone who’s experienced a connection that exists outside of traditional definitions.”

Blending Latin R&B, urban pop and bachata, “Pa’ Mi” features layered harmonies, subtle runs, and a conversational vocal style that centers Isa’s voice. 3. Iman Nunez & Abby Jasmine – you and me

As the summer’s heating up, so is the music. After a hiatus, Iman Nunez releases his first song of the year for the real lovers with “You & Me,” featuring Staten Island’s own Abby Jasmine. “You and Me” is a playful conversation between real lovers seeking confirmation in their commitment to each other.

Abby opens the Haysuse-produced song with transparent lyrics, singing, “I want to be your main thing, not your homegirl. Cuz I don’t want to have to share you with the whole world, babe. Cuz I’m a top-tier shawty. And you know it to the way you’re all on my body, and I don’t want nobody but you. And my knees get weak, when you speak to me, that ain’t like me…”

Iman raps back, “Would you ride for me or would you slide for me? Don’t bat your eyes at me, I see the games you playing, but wonder if you was the prize for me. Your eyes can’t keep a secret, and your mind been playing scrimmages. Your heart is playing defense, and your soul been putting minutes in…” The beat switch at the track’s latter half takes a more serious tone where Iman affirms his passion for the woman.   

“You and Me” marks a new extension of Iman Nunez’s music palette. He’s stepping outside of his hard-nosed lyrical sound from his previous album, Phases Vol 2, Hosted By On The Radar, to an R&B-influenced sound.

4. Shungu & Fly Anakin ft. Goya Gumbani & Fatima – Talk To The Mass

Brussels-born multidisciplinary artist and producer ShunGu shares his new single “Talk to the Mass” featuring Fly Anakin, Goya Gumbani and Fatima. The track is accompanied by a Mackai Sharp-directed visual, which marks the first time the accomplished producer has ever had an official music video made for one of his songs. “Talk to the Mass” is a quintessentially subtle, breezy instrumental from the Belgian producer, catered perfectly to the incisive raps of Fly Anakin and Goya Gumbani, with Fatima’s soft vocals binding the various styles together. The single serves as the introductory offering to the producer’s next project, which will arrive later this Fall via Lex Records. 

Speaking on the occasion, ShunGu shares, “This was the first time I ever made a proper music video for one of my tracks, so it felt like a special moment for me, especially since I’m not at the beginning of my career. I fully trusted Mackai to bring the vision of this first single to life. 

I had a dream team on this track, and I wanted to kick things off with the one featuring three artists. The day we recorded it, Fatima and Goya happened to be there unexpectedly. I was in a session with Frank (Fly Anakin). At one point, there were about 10 of us crammed into a tiny studio. The good thing was that the energy pushed everyone to really step up their writing.”

ShunGu has carved out a singular space for himself as an innovative, revered voice in the underground hip-hop landscape, blending jazz-infused sampling with cosmic grooves, along with establishing a Detroit-indebted house alter ego Senga. That personality and distinct ear for instrumentals has cultivated a sense of community across his records with the likes of Pink Siifu, Fly Anakin, YUNGMORPHEUS and more finding a home in his beats. The Belgian producer has served as an accomplished custodian of this community for years, playing the role of an artist who is both deeply rooted in the underground scene and a pioneering force in driving it forward. ShunGu’s critically acclaimed debut album A Black Market Album was described by Pitchfork as “perfectly chosen drums and subtle swagger, reminiscent of nothing so much as golden-age Slum Village and other pre-Donuts J. Dee classics.”

5. Tiwa Savage & Skepta – On A Low

Following its premiere on Jack Saunders’ BBC Radio 1 show, Afrobeats royalty Tiwa Savage teams up with UK legend Skepta for the long-anticipated single “On A Low”, ahead of her upcoming album This One Is Personal, dropping August 28 on Empire.

Nigerian-born Tiwa’s connection to the UK has always run deep, and this collaboration feels both natural and long overdue. Over the years, she and Skepta have publicly celebrated each other’s successes, now, they finally come together on a record produced by Rymez (Wiley, Stefflon Don, Wretch 32). 

“On A Low” sees Skepta bring a measured, emotive edge to Tiwa’s vibrant vocals, as the two explore the complexities of keeping a relationship under wraps. Navigating the tension between intimacy and public disclosure, the pair trade verses over a textured, percussive R&B rhythm that drives the track forward. 

“It’s about trading the private for being able to tell your friends and loved ones about those flowers, that date night, that movie,” says Tiwa.

6. Cautious Clay – Fade Blue (11pm)

Today, singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Karpeh, aka Cautious Clay, shares a brand-new single and visualizer, “Fade Blue (11PM),” out now everywhere via Concord Records. The new single follows his album from May, The Hours: Morning, which earned praise at NPR, Vibe, and the AP, among many others.

Co-produced by Cautious Clay and Some Randoms (Kehlani, Lil Wayne, Reneé Rap, Ant Clemons, Wale), “Fade Blue (11PM)” begins with cinematic strings that lead into a groovy strut, complemented by a thick bass and tight percussion. Karpeh’s clear tenor meshes perfectly within the groove as he takes a gentle yet honest look at the way his life is shaking out. Rather than be too hard on himself, Karpeh is playful with his observations, cheekily equating green text bubbles with unfaithfulness.

Karpeh expands upon what “Fade Blue (11PM)” means to him: “This song is very much about removing all expectations about what you might be connecting to in your life versus how you are living your life, because they are not always the same. Being present-minded is something that is becoming harder and harder to do today, and throughout all of ‘The Hours”, I’m not only the Morning but also the Night, and I’m trying to prioritize being present. Blue is also becoming one of my favorite colors.”

Beyond his own artistry, Cautious has established himself as a highly sought-after songwriter and producer, collaborating with Billie Eilish, John Mayer, John Legend, Khalid, Kavinsky, Melanie Martinez, Remi Wolf, and most recently, Tycho. Following the release of his acclaimed EPs Resonance and Table of Context, he delivered his full-length 2021 debut Deadpan Love, a nuanced exploration of the complexities of human connection that earned him praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Fader, PAPER, and more. With his 2023 album KARPEH, Cautious reached new artistic heights, delivering a more intentional and sonically rich project. 7. Kalan.FrFr – Hadju

West Coast firebrand Kalan.FrFr delivers an emotionally charged new single titled “Hadju,” out now via Roc Nation Distribution. Known for his melodic storytelling, Kalan once again showcases his ability to seamlessly transition between rapping and singing, crafting an anthem where love is at the center of it all. Speaking about “Hadju,” Kalan.FrFr shares, “I wanted to take it back to a time where women are being serenaded and appreciated.” “‘Hadju’ is a masterpiece for that – it’s a song that tells your girl everything she wants to hear, while keeping it player.” 

Ahead of its release, Kalan teased “Hadju” on social media for weeks, leaving fans clamoring to hear the full version. Never one to shy away from vulnerability in his lyrics, he bares his soul throughout the track, rapping: “If I had you I wouldn’t be following back no hoe / If I had the lo there will be roses at the front door.” 

“Hadju” offers a taste of what’s coming down the pipeline for the fan favorite as he readies a larger body of work set to arrive later this year. A release date for the project hasn’t been revealed yet, but the LP marks his first full-length outing of 2025. 

Alongside the new single, Kalan unveils an official visualizer for “Hadju,” which includes footage of him overlooking the Hollywood Hills at night – Watch HERE. 

“Hadju” also coincides with the announcement of Kalan’s headlining concert this fall, alongside Bino Rideaux, BlueBucksClan, and more. Powered by Live Nation, the one-night-only event takes place on October 16 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, Calif., where the SoCal native is slated to perform songs from his growing discography, as well as music from his last EP, MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN.  

8. 9Ni9ht ft. Lee "Scratch" Perry – Black Ark

9Ni9ht, the genre-defying duo formed by vocalist and visual artist Racquel Jones (formerly of Thievery Corporation) and multi-instrumentalist/producer Chuck Doom (formerly of Crosses, Team Sleep, and Saudade), is making their mark with their debut single, “Black Ark.” Featuring the iconic Lee “Scratch” Perry, the track is a dynamic fusion of Jamaican dub, hip-hop, alt-rock, and jazz that pushes the boundaries of genre and sound. It’s as much a sonic revolution as it is a bold statement about the world we live in.

The name 9Ni9ht is rooted in the Jamaican Nine-Night ceremony, a sacred tradition symbolizing both spiritual transition and the reclaiming of power. The duo’s music builds on that concept, offering a transformative listening experience that challenges societal systems of oppression. “Black Ark” serves as a raw, unapologetic protest anthem, confronting injustice head-on while laying the groundwork for the duo’s unique sound and vision.

Releasing on August 1st – also Emancipation Day in Jamaica – the single is steeped in symbolism. “This was me summoning all the ancestors that have caused change and a shift in history that we now have the luxury of enjoying. I feel we’re at this crucial point in life now where we need that again,” Jones says of “Black Ark”. “So we need to unearth that need for change by any means necessary in order to move us forward. Suddenly we have taken steps to hundreds of years back. How are we here fighting these battles again?”

The accompanying video opens with a spectral image of Perry, embodying the spirit of ancestors, guiding us through symbolic locations that speak to the legacy of oppression. One key scene takes place at a tower built by slaves on the grounds of a former sugar plantation, now a school, symbolizing the reclamation of spaces once defined by suffering and exploitation. This visual narrative, paired with the track’s unrelenting drive, presents a powerful plea for change.

The surreal self-portrait created by Jones for the single’s artwork deepens this narrative. Inspired by Kehinde Wiley’s A New Republic series and the Renaissance Equestrian period, the image features a mystical female figure on horseback – a guardian figure, riding through the rings of power with clarity and intent. It’s a reimagining of a historically laden visual language, softened with mysticism yet hard-hitting in its confrontation of reality. The figure rides through a spiritual battleground, one where destruction and renewal go hand in hand.

“This isn’t just cover art. It’s a portal”, shares Jones. “A visual Mantra, a reflection of what it means to stand at the center of collapse and still carry your light. “

Beyond the artwork, the symbolism in “Black Ark” continues to resonate with the influence of Perry’s own Black Ark studio in Jamaica, which he destroyed in an act of purification. This theme of destruction and rebirth runs through both the song and the visuals, as 9Ni9ht contemplates the need to dismantle systems of oppression in order to build something new and free.

“Black Ark” is more than just a debut single, it’s a statement on the power of art to spark change. It’s complex, confrontational, and visionary, with 9Ni9ht pushing the boundaries of what music can say and how it can say it. With this debut, the duo makes it clear: change is coming, and it starts with them.

9. Noah Floersch – Somebody Nobody Gets Over

Today, Omaha-born and Nashville-based indie pop lyrical songsmith Noah Floersch announced he will be releasing his brand new alter-ego album Francis Aquarius out October 3rd via Concord Records. In celebration of the announcement, Noah has released his most gut-wrenching track yet with “Somebody Nobody Gets Over.” 

The new song dives into the ache of unexpectedly running into an ex, watching them move on… and realizing you never really did. Co-written by Asia Whitacre, whose background vocals blend seamlessly with Noah’s, the track builds a vocally raw and emotionally charged performance that hits like a gut punch. The heart-on-sleeve chorus: “You’re somebody nobody gets over / Never gonna give myself the closure / Never gonna stop pulling you closer…” leaves listeners wanting to hit repeat the moment it ends. The music video, directed by Neta Ben Ezra and filmed in a Nashville greenhouse, captures the song’s emotional weight, showcasing Noah in his element: performing live.

Noah further elaborates: “‘Somebody Nobody Gets Over’ is an anthem for the heartbroken. Nothing hurts quite like watching the love of your life move on with someone new—especially as you try to remain friendly. It’s the kind of pain you get out by screaming along to a comfort song. Hopefully, Somebody Nobody Gets Over can be that song for some people.”

The song will join previously released tracks “Somethin’ Bout A Beer” & “Growing Everything Out” on Noah’s new album: Francis Aquarius. 

Francis Aquarius is more than just an album; it’s a character study, written from the perspective of the anti-hero and alter-ego character: Francis Aquarius. Named after Noah’s middle name and star sign, the album steps into the shoes of a messy, deeply flawed alter ego: Francis is a guy who’s spiraling through heartbreak, drinking too much, saying the wrong things, and learning the hard way that he might be the problem. With tongue-in-cheek humor and gut-punching emotional vulnerability, the album tackles the darker side of things as opposed to Noah’s self-titled debut album, Noah. 

“The last album was like, ‘Here I am, check me out, and everything’s beautiful and great,’” Noah says. “This one is like, here’s this really fun facade, but don’t look too long or you might see the ugly in me. The music fucking rocks, and it’ll move your body, and it’s gonna be a blast to perform. But if you check out the lyrics a little bit, there’s some poignancy there that is very, very true for me.”

Earlier this year, Noah released the album’s first two tracks: “Growing Everything Out” and “Somethin’ Bout A Beer.” “Growing Everything Out” is an upbeat self-aware anthem that describes the feeling when you find yourself slightly partying too hard on tour every night and burning the candle at both ends. The song describes that moment when you look in the mirror and think, “wow, you look like a hot mess, but that’s okay right now- I’m growing everything out,” almost as if you’re giving yourself the permission to let go a little bit. 

“Somethin’ Bout A Beer” (or otherwise known as the unofficial Nashville bartenders’ anthem) is a prime example of Noah’s incredible style of lyricism and songwriting – upon first listen, you think the song is about one thing, but when you take a closer look, it’s got a deeper meaning. “Somethin’ Bout A Beer” follows that pattern as first listeners will hear a feel-good bar song about drinking away heartache…then upon the second listen, you will hear under the chorus the track is an homage to bartenders who help us nurse those wounds “Don’t forget to tip the ones who help you forget the ones you love.” 

But while Francis Aquarius might be an anti-hero, Noah Floersch is quite the opposite. With over 75 million global streams, Noah has built an audience one song and one heartbreak at a time. His breakout track “Ghost of Chicago” has racked up over 35 million Spotify streams, and his duet with Em Beihold, “The Bird Song,” has introduced his storytelling to a whole new audience, including earned co-signs from Gracie Abrams, SZA, and the Taco Bell Feed The Beat Class of 2025, along with praise from outlets like Ones To Watch.

10. Tiara Thomas – Kiss Me

Tiara Thomas, the Grammy and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter, makes her return with “Kiss Me,” a breezy and soulful single that highlights her signature warmth and effortless storytelling. Known for co-writing hits like H.E.R.’s “Damage” and Kaytranada/H.E.R.’s  “Intimated,” Tiara once again steps into the spotlight with music that feels both timeless and refreshingly light.

“Kiss Me” was born during a late-night studio session with producer Dilemma, who first sparked the track’s playful energy. “It was so simple, yet soulful, with a really interesting groove,” Tiara says. “My goal with this one was just to create something fun and cute. 11. myah – glitter

Today, Los Angeles-based alt/indie pop singer-songwriter and filmmaker myah announces her debut album i don’t know what i’m feeling due out August 29. With the announcement, the artist shares glistening track “glitter” out now with its cinematic official music video, inspired by Bonnie & Clyde.

The forthcoming punchy LP is a confessional, bittersweet reflection on the highs and lows of love and self-discovery. Through 17 tracks, the musician captures falling in and out of love–the butterflies, joy, turbulence, heartache, anger and everything in between–as she comes to terms with love not always being the fairytale it appears to be. Myah shares, “It touches on the crisis you experience as you start to get older and realize that romance and love aren’t what you’ve been told your whole life. The moment hip-hop fans have been eagerly anticipating is finally here, as two of hip-hop’s most revered architects—DJ Premier and Roc Marciano—have joined forces to give the people what they want with the forthcoming collaborative project, The Coldest Profession, which will be released on 8.8.25.

A true icon, DJ Premier (who also just announced the “He’s The Preemo I’m The Chemist” European Tour This Winter With The Alchemist) is one of the most influential and genre-pushing producers of all time.  Roc Marciano, often credited with laying the foundation for the modern underground renaissance, is one of the most influential multi-hyphenates (rapper/producer) artists of the last decade.

After collab projects with Statik Selektah and AraabMUZIK for his Benny The Butcher executive produced Black Soprano Family debut album, Zombie, which featured appearances from Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, 38 Spesh and Rome Streetz, rising Philly emcee OT The Real, is back and he brought 38 Spesh with him.

While OT recently co-starred alongside Amanda Seyfried in the Peacock Original Series Long Bright River, and appeared on Benny The Butcher’s Summertime Butch 2 project (“Gold Plated Leica”), his collaboration with 38 Spesh feels long overdue.  You can watch the new video for “Gold Plated Leica” below.

It was there he met social worker Sean Gill, who introduced him to songwriting and helped shape his earliest music. LAWSON recorded his first song at 16 and never looked back. Influenced by musical icons like Michael Jackson, Biggie, and later collaborators, LAWSON’s music blends vulnerability with confidence – a sound that feels authentic and gritty. 29. TiaCorine – Fall In Love

Today, genre-bending North Carolina rapper TiaCorine drops “Fall In Love,” a ride-or-die anthem set to her signature blend of hard bars, snapping drums, and kaleidoscopic melodies. Listen to the new single HERE via Interscope Records.

“Fall In Love” may be a love song, but fans know better than to expect the softer side of TiaCorine. She comes at romance with the same intent and intensity that she brings to past verses. 35. Devine Camara & Amadeus360 – The Essence

Emmy-winning Hip-Hop luminary Devine Carama and producer Amadeus360 have taken up the mantle as the Guardians of the Boom Bap on their new collaborative album of the same name. It’s a concise body of work dedicated to the bare essentials of Hip-Hop’s Golden Era. Consistent with this theme, album standout “The Essence” gets the visual treatment courtesy of cinematographer Shooter McGavin. Unveiled today (8/1/2025) via YouTube, the music video was shot in the East End and downtown area of Carama’s hometown of Lexington, Kentucky.

On the fast track towards an impactful breakthrough, Platinum-certified Atlanta-based producer, “plugg” pioneer, rapper, and artist MexikoDro unleashes a brand new single entitled “MARTA” out now. As the video unfolds, YG and his love interest are shown dancing and enjoying each other’s company, but the  video ends on a surprising note as YG’s date is dropped off at home and is greeted by her partner, leaving the viewer questioning whether they were lovers or just friends.
