What?! A banana sells for $120,000

Artist Maurizio Cattlelan attached a local store bought banana to a gallery wall using duct tape and the initial asking price was $120,000.

Initially there were 2 purchases of the art and buyers were sent a certificate of authenticity and a 14 page manual on how to install the banana artwork.

Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.
