Hip-hop heads, 2025 is about to be legendary. Mass Appeal Records has officially confirmed a powerhouse lineup of new releases as part of its upcoming “Legend Has It…” series—a tribute to the icons who shaped the culture and continue to define its future.

The series will feature brand-new albums from some of the most revered names in hip-hop: Nas, DJ Premier, Mobb Deep, De La Soul, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Big L, and a surprise guest of honor yet to be revealed.

Leading the charge is the long-awaited joint project from Nas and DJ Premier, who just dropped their first single, “Define My Name.” The track blends sharp lyricism with Premier’s signature boom-bap production, setting the tone for what promises to be a landmark release.

Fans of Ghostface Killah have reason to rejoice, too—he’s hinted that his album will be a sequel to the classic Supreme Clientele, sparking wild anticipation. Meanwhile, Raekwon is bringing something fresh and regal with his upcoming LP titled “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”

Mobb Deep is also making a thunderous return, with a new project featuring Nas and The Alchemist, combining gritty lyricism with some of the best production in the game. De La Soul, always ahead of their time, are reportedly working on multiple albums—cementing their legacy while continuing to innovate.

One of the most poignant highlights of the announcement is the release of a posthumous album from the late, great Big L. Titled “Harlem’s Finest: Rise of the Forgotten King,” the LP is slated for a summer drop. In collaboration with Big L’s estate, Mass Appeal is remixing, remastering, and re-crediting his iconic catalog, with fans even being invited to suggest content for the final tracklist.

From timeless voices to long-awaited reunions, “Legend Has It…” isn’t just a series—it’s a celebration of hip-hop’s enduring impact. With so many heavyweight names involved and more surprises to come, 2025 is shaping up to be a golden year for the culture.

Stay tuned—history is about to be written again.
