Captain America: Brave New World” Dominates a Slow Weekend at the Box Office

In a weekend marked by sluggish box office numbers, Captain America: Brave New World continued its reign, securing the top spot for the third consecutive week. The latest MCU sequel earned $15 million, bringing its domestic total to an impressive $163.7 million, while its global earnings now stand at $341 million.

Despite a quiet weekend overall, Last Breath made a notable debut, landing in second place with a solid $7.8 million. The movie has garnered attention for its intense storyline and has quickly become a conversation starter among audiences. In third place, The Monkey earned $6.4 million, maintaining a steady position as it gains traction.

In fourth and fifth place, Paddington in Peru and Dog Man rounded out the top five, earning $4.5 million and $4.2 million, respectively. While these family-friendly films continue to draw audiences, the weekend’s earnings reflect a slow period in the film industry, where blockbuster performances have been somewhat lacking.

As Captain America: Brave New World continues its successful run, it remains to be seen how long this trend will last before the box office sees a major shift in momentum. For now, the MCU’s latest entry has proven its staying power, with no immediate signs of slowing down.
