Celebrate Black History Month at AMC Theatres
This February, AMC Theatres is honoring Black History Month with a special celebration that showcases iconic films and documentaries, shining a spotlight on Black culture, history, and artistry. From January 31 to February 27, AMC locations nationwide will host a series of fan-favorite screenings across four weekly themes.
Week 1: Echoes of Greatness (January 31 – February 6)
Kicking off Black History Month, AMC is celebrating the legacy of Black music icons with “Echoes of Greatness.” The week will feature two powerful documentaries: Piece by Piece, an animated exploration of Pharrell’s creative journey, and Luther: Never Too Much, which delves into the life and influence of the legendary soul artist Luther Vandross.
Week 2: Inspiration and Resilience (February 7 – 13)
From February 7 to 13, AMC will highlight “Inspiration and Resilience,” a tribute to the enduring strength and determination of Black communities. Moviegoers will experience The Fire Inside from MGM and The Forge from Sony, both offering poignant stories of perseverance and courage.
Week 3: Love and Legacy (February 14 – 20)
For Valentine’s week, AMC will celebrate “Love and Legacy” with two powerful films: Challengers, starring Zendaya, and Rob Peace, which tells the heartfelt story of Rob Peace’s life. These films explore love, legacy, and the powerful bonds that shape individuals and communities.
Week 4: Thrills and Laughs Duos (February 21 – 27)
To close out the month, AMC is bringing fans a week of “Thrills and Laughs Duos,” pairing action-packed adventures with comedy. The week will feature Bad Boys: Ride or Die, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, along with other exciting films to be announced soon.
