Kendrick Lamar turned down a role in Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis biopic in 2015 to focus on his music, a decision that Cheadle now sees as the right choice.
Lamar is now set to make his big-screen debut in a live-action comedy with South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
The film, set to be released on July 4, 2025, will explore themes of race and history in a unique and comedic way.
Kendrick Lamar, along with Stone, Parker, and Dave Free, will serve as the project producers.
