Cincinnati: Changes Are Coming To The ACT Exam
Changes Are Coming to the ACT Exam
The ACT college admissions exam announced signifiant changes this week that will help “meet the challenges students and educators face.”
CEO of ACT said in a blog statement on the exam’s website, “First, we have made the test more flexible for students by giving them the ability to choose whether to take
the science section.
She continued, “English, reading, and math remain as the core sections of the ACT test that will result in a college-reportable score. Like the writing section, science will
be offered as an additional section.”
Students will have the choice of taking the standard ACT, the ACT plus science, the ACT plus writing, or the ACT plus science and writing.
Additionally, the ACT will be up to one-third shorter, depending on the version the student takes.
